Art of Many Nations: this year’s exhibition is bigger than ever with twelve participating artists of differing nationalities – Polish, Irish, Spanish, Lithuanian-Polish, Polish-English and the former Republic of Yugoslavia. One of the exciting new exhibitors is Ernada Husic who specializes in print and etching and is a fulltime degree student in her final year at NCAD. Her subjects featuring the process of metamorphosis are based on myth and fantasy.

Her artwork as featured on the cover of The Gloss Magazine:

The works in the exhibition by members of the Irish Polish Society cover a wide range of artistic disciplines – etchings, watercolours, prints, pastels, sketches, oils, acrylics, ceramics, sculpture and mixed media.

Artists
Vladislav Dainovski is from Lithuania, of Polish origin, and specializes in oil painting and sculptures. He especially likes painting horses.

Marysia Harasimowicz was born in Liverpool of Polish parents; her art practice focuses on etching, mixed media, pastels and water-colours. She is an art teacher and the exhibition curator.

Anna Hryniewicz is an abstract painter who explores surfaces in search of light, movement & space.

Helena Johnston is a studio and plein air painter who creates landscapes and still-life compositions mainly in oils. Her work has been accepted for the 2015 Royal Hibernian Academy exhibition.

Orla Kaminska is a ceramic artist & designer with a wide range of experience in providing public art in Ireland. Her work can be seen at UCD, Dundrum Town Centre and Dun Laoghaire Ferry Terminal.

Sean Myler is new to the society, a sculptor working with clay, but with concrete when the situation allows. He has just completed an Art & Sculpture course in Whitehall College of Further Education.

Deirdre O Broin-Lennon studied dress design in Dublin & Edinburgh and set up her own business. She studies the techniques of the Old Masters to create effects of light and space in her richly-coloured astronomical paintings.

Marta Ozog is a member of Ceramics Ireland and has studied widely in the art of ceramics. Her work in the exhibition is inspired by double-spouted Peruvian ceramics.

Ula Retzlaff has studied art and design in the NCAD and Multimedia at TCD. She has exhibited widely and her work is in many collections. She works in painting, print, pen and ink drawing, mixed media and multimedia.

Martin Reynolds is a Dublin architect who works in various countries and makes free-hand sketches when time permits while working on projects.

Angela Velazquez from Madrid has exhibited her ceramics in many venues in Ireland and Spain. She specializes in pyrography drawings on wooden surfaces and oxide pencil designs on porcelain. Her work has been chosen for the 2015 RHA Exhibition.
