Farewell to Winter Shrove Tuesday Concert

„River of Songs” is a collection of works, written and performed throughout nearly quarter of a century. From teenage songs of longing and love, but in new fresh arrangements, to recent musings inspired by 15 years of living in Ireland. There will be songs in Polish and English.
Justyna Kosmulska is a poet, multi instrumentalist and performer. She teaches at Polish Weekend School SEN, animates children’s parties, but also leads mountain excursions in Wicklow Mountains
Her expression can be described as spoken/sung word, poetic but also infused with jazz and folk. She has classically trained on piano, but recently inspired by both Irish and Polish trad music, started learning the Irish lever harp with Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann.
Justyna gave a songtalk on “white voice” at Knockroghery Singers Festival in 2015, performed on various events in Dublin, Limerick, Belfast and Gorey. Co-founder of Circle of Magical White Song, and Third Verse Conspiracy singing groups. She has performed many times at the Polish House, but this evening will be the first with her original programme.
Guest star appearances include Sylwester Ochmański (piano, flute) and Rafał Wiśniewski (piano).
