Polish House will welcome films exploring impressions of Ireland and Europe in collections from the IFI Irish Film Archive

A very interesting and unique film event will take place on Thursday, 20th June, 7 pm, Polish House (20 Fitzwilliam Place). The event is supported by the Irish Film Institute (IFI) as part of the International Culture Programme to celebrate Ireland’s Presidency of the EU.
There will be a screening of some short films from the IFI Irish Film Archive. We will present 8 short films exploring impressions of Ireland and Europe. Screenings will include the classic films of Les Freres Lumiére recorded in 1897 Dublin; each episode runs approximately 50 seconds. Also a 10 minutes documentary The Polish School by Michael Ryan will be presented. Admission free, all welcome. The unique opportunity to see some old classics – not to be missed by all who love cinema!
