On Sunday 7 April from 5pm/17.00 the Irish Polish Society will hold a tribute at 20 Fitzwilliam Place (Polish House) to our late founding member, Professor Maciej Smolenski, who died 10 years ago. The evening will feature remembrances of his role in organizing aid to Poland during the Martial Law era, in founding the Irish Polish Society and his work in the Polish House. As well as playing important functions in the Polish House, he was a talented singer (bass-baritone) and a singing teacher at the Royal Irish Academy of Music; he organized many musical performances in Ireland and in Poland. He was also a painter of abstract and primitive style paintings. The tribute will commemorate Maciej in music, word and song with excerpts from his songs and writings. All are welcome.

Kind regards from the Irish Polish Society Committee
