Poland and Ireland World War I.\u2019\u2019 A series of four lectures, presented by Dr. Gabriel Doherty, Dr. Bo\u017cena Cierlik, David McCallion and Jakub Kacprzak, will showcase political and military situation of Poland and Ireland during the first armed conflict that spread on three continents, and its casualties are counted in millions. Presented materials will highlight the differences and similarities between Poland and Ireland, which both stepped into this war as parts of mighty empires, and at the end of it marched sedately towards their independence and a chance of reappearance on the maps of the world.<br \/>\nThe lectures will be accompanied by free exhibition of memorabilia from that period, coming from the collection of a private museum &#8216;War Years Remembered&#8217; in Ballyclare, Northern Ireland.<br \/>\nThe conference will take place on 22nd of November, starting at 10 AM in the Ballroom of Wynn\u2019s Hotel on Abbey Street, Dublin 1 and will consist of four 45 minute lectures, each followed by short summary and questions &#038; answers session.
