An illustrated lecture by dr Pádhraig Kennan “Some current geological activities in Poland. Is there a benefit to be had?”

January 19, 2013 by · Leave a Comment

Sunday, 27th January, 5pm Polish House (20 Fitzwilliam Place, Dublin 2, Ireland). The lecture will be related to shale gas and fracking; also some additional information on what Polish geologists are doing today. The talk is open to everybody (you may know nothing about geological sciences!). Dr Kennan has very considerable experience in talking about science to the ‘layman/woman’ in everyday easy language. Dr Pádhraig Kennan is an Emeritus Member of the School of Geological Sciences at UCD. Currently, he continues his research on granite and mineral deposits associated with granite in Poland. He also helps young (mostly) Polish scientists to publish their research results in English-language journals in home and abroad. He is an Honorary Member of the Polish Mineralogical Society.
