POLISH EMIGRATION POETRY AND PROSE PUBLISHED IN IRELAND AND GREAT BRITAIN IN POLISH AND ENGLISH AFTER THE YEAR 2004

October 18, 2013 by · Leave a Comment

defaultThe project aims to generate, analyse and classify Polish emigration poetry and prose published in Poland, Ireland and Great Britain in Polish and English after the year 2004 as a new literary trend and important research material that is a continuation of Polish cultural heritage.
The most recent writings of the emigrant authors describe the complex processes of the postmodern societies in Western Europe. Therefore, the project places the issues of nationality, multiculturalism, religion, race and equality in the new Eastern European context. The deep-rooted views of patriotism, national identity, homeland and family will be deconstructed and redefined. The results will add a new perspective to the dynamically-developing research on migration in Europe.

The project is financed by the National Science Centre.
